PBS program follows Natl Guard platoon

I happened to be looking through the TV listings last night and flipped to this program because I thought it might be interesting. For the next hour I was completely glued to the screen as I watched the raw reality of these men unfold. This isn’t an action packed recruitment video for the military. It’s a video diary made by the soldiers themselves. The video isn’t about the conflict itself, but rather the effect is has on the men and those close to them. For their sake, I hope this war is brought to a close very soon. To the men of Bad Voodoo: Thank you for everything you’ve done and are doing to serve our country. We owe you and your families a debt that can never be fully repaid.

Granted, much of the above is obvious, but to see it all laid out so clearly really is stunning. Anyone who thinks we shouldn’t get out of Iraq as quickly (and responsibly) as humanly possible needs to have their head examined.
