Nan and I had a blast at Trayce’s, a club in west ashley. The band for the night was Circus “as in three ring” according to the bass player. These guys absolutely rocked!! I’ve heard a lot of cover bands, but how often do you hear a RATT cover, and a good one at that? These guys were incredible. If you get the chance to hear them, don’t pass it up. They are a guaranteed good time..

FRONTLINE: the o.j. verdict | PBS

10 years later, it’s interesting to see what feelings the O.J. case brings to the surface. As this very well done piece points out, it’s not as simple as black and white. The complex issues surrounding the case and the complexities behind people’s reactions to the case are interesting as well as informative. Check it out, you may be surprised by what you learn.

The MCAS Beaufort Airshow was this past weekend, and it was a blast! For a true hardware geek, there’s nothing like a huge display of military hardware, not to mention the in-flight demos. We take it for granted, but our armed services are really quite remarkable. I’ve put together a collection of photos from the event, so check ’em out.

Duct Tape Repairs All
Every once in a while, you see something people joke about, but never really believe would happen. For me this happened while I was at the airshow. I had my camera, so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. If you’ve ever heard the saying “you can fix anything with duct tape” then you’ll understand this picture.

The part you’re looking at is the leading edge of the left wing of a C-17 Globemaster III military cargo jet. This is a big aircraft capable of hauling troops and equipment halfway across the world. Not the type of aircraft you’d expect to see with duct tape holding something together. 🙂
