What started as an effort to address the rising problem of identity theft & corporate carelessness has resulted in a law that does very little to correct the problem. The primary focus, to require corporations to report security breaches, is now little more than lip service as it allows the breached corporation to determine whether or not it’s necessary to report the incident to the public.
NVIDIA GeForce 7900 Series Preview – [H]ardOCP
NVidia is preparing to launch a minor update to the 7-series GPU in the form of the GeForce 7900 and 7600. The new GPUs perform slightly better than the previous generation and use less power thanks to a reduced transistor count and a smaller 90 nanometer process technology.

This just makes my inner-geek smile. 🙂 Now all we need to do is fashion a little red/yellow arcade-style joystick to fit over the clickwheel and it’ll be good to go! I’ve mentioned the iPod Linux project here before, but this new project just gives it a whole new “cool” factor. I’m definitely going to have to try this…
