One of my colleages sent me this link and I couldn’t resist posting it. (It’s just so cute..) While my cat does try to step on my laptop, it’s more about getting attention than looking for warmth. One of my friends used to have a couple of cats that enjoyed soaking up the warmth of his CRT monitors. Cats are so much fun!

LOST – Theories and Conjecture
Ok I admit it, I’m really getting hooked on this show. Tonight’s 2hr season finale was especially good. A lot of things were revealed, but as usual, with each new revelation comes at least as many new questions. For example, the “hatch” was shown to have a “real” purpose which also explains the magnetic wall and the plane crash. However, if it’s real, why did the tape at the “pearl” describe it as a psychological experiment? I’m also intrigued by the revelation, at the end, of Penny’s involvement, or at a minimum knowledge to some degree of the magnetic disturbances of the hatch. This is something that occurred to me after the show:
“The Others” may be a group opposed to the Dharma Initiative and may have attacked them at some point in the past. (seeing the ID of the man Sayeed found buried at the balloon site might help here..) I’ve also considered the possibility that they may be the last remaining members of the original team.
There’s nothing like a good mystery…
DaVinci Code entertains despite reviews
Granted, I haven’t read the book, but I thought The DaVinci Code was a great movie. If I had to give it a rating on the usual 5-star system I’d probably give it 4 stars. Perhaps not reading the book has allowed me to be a bit more unbiased towards the movie? When I saw the horrible reviews the film was getting, I almost couldn’t believe it. I can’t remember ever seeing a Ron Howard film I didn’t like, so I thought I’d give it a shot. The film does a good job of presenting the story without demonizing the church. There are only 2, maybe 3 truly evil characters in the film. Obviously (to anyone who has read the book) the albino monk, as well as his boss at Opus Dei and a shadowy character know as the Teacher. Overall, I thought all of the actors played their roles extremely well. So, if you have an open mind, check it out and I’m sure you won’t be disapointed. And even if you don’t, it’s just a movie folks!
